Pamela Sztybel
Pamela Sztybel, a landscape painter who divides her time between New York City and Bridgewater, Connecticut, studied at the New School for Social Research, in the M.F.A. program at the New York Academy of Art, and privately under Wolf Kahn. She currently serves on the Art Collection Committee of the Board of Trustees of the New School University and has had fellowships at New Mexico’s Santa Fe Art Institute and the Vermont Studio Center. She was a visiting artist and teacher at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy, and has taught workshops at Connecticut College, West Liberty State College in West Virginia, and the Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts in New Jersey. Her works can be found in numerous corporate and private collections. Sztybel will be showing at SVAC this summer.

A five day workshop of drawing from nature
with the idea that these studies can be used
as starting points to larger more finished pieces.
The class will be conducted in two parts, indoors
and outdoors. Works can stand alone or be used
as underpaintings for even further development.
A variety of exercises will be suggested as a means
to begin. A complete discussion of traditional and
less traditional materials and the working methods
of other artists will be included. |
