Go from drab to drippy and dull to dynamic.
Paint fresh and juicy floral portraits. Painting from
photo references (provided or bring your own) and fresh
bouquets in a still life setting, we will explore the organic
shapes of flowers by painting with loaded brushes and
using the full extent of your palette by dipping in bright,
rich colors. We will practice negative painting so your
watercolors pop with layers of color that define your foliage.
You will learn to create a pleasing composition by drawing
multiple views of the same bloom using the elements of design
like size, shape, value, color, line and texture. Annelein provides
personalized guidance throughout the day to shape each individuals'
workshop experience. The morning starts with her demonstration
and will end with a show and tell of the day's paintings. A suggested
supply list will be provided. Basic drawing skills and some watercolor
experience would be preferred. |
