There is an open invitation for all teachers in our area schools and homeschools to venture up the hill with a class and explore all our campus has to offer!
Please schedule your visit with Abby Pinkard, Director of Educational Programming.
School students especially enjoy visiting during the Art from the Schools Exhibit, to see their own and their peers' artwork exhibited on our walls. During the warmer months, our Sculpture Garden, Botany Trail, and Nature Conservancy Path offer great hiking and picnicking!
During the Art from the Schools Exhibit, we do offer an "I Spy Art" activity packet that's geared toward younger age groups. Classes are welcome to partake and use the I Spy Art activity packets to lead them through all 10 galleries, stairways, hallways, and foyer, finding special features that force them to look harder at the art.
Families visiting the Yester House are welcome to take a packet and play along with their child or children. We enter these activity packets into a raffle at the end of the month, and the first one drawn receives a special SVAC Art Pack, available to be picked up by the parents/caregivers anytime!
