3 p.m.—5 p.m.
Yester House and Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum
Two exhibitions, one enduring material.
On Paper features works by Elfriede Abbe, Barbara Ackerman, Tom Fels, Annie Ireland, Crystalle Lacouture, and Carolyn Shattuck—artists connected to SVAC through its Artist Member community. Together, they explore paper as a substrate through printmaking, drawing, cyanotype, collage, and mixed media. Interactive stations throughout Yester House invite visitors to engage directly with process, materials, and community responses. On Paper is generously supported by the TASK Charitable Fund.
Curated by Michelle Samour, Paper Transformed presents innovative works in colored paper pulp by John Babcock, Shannon Brock, Joan Hall, Anne Q. McKeown, Michelle Samour, Peter Sowiski, and Lynn Sures. These artists push the boundaries of pulp as a sculptural and painterly medium through pouring, layering, casting, and surface manipulation. The exhibition reimagines what paper can be in contemporary art.
We hope you will join us to preview On Paper and Paper Transformed. Light appetizers and snacks will be available, as well as a cash bar provided by curATE café.
This event is free for all SVAC members. Please register HERE.
