Event Tent

Had you been part of a certain circle of society in the early days of the last century, and had you been invited to a party in Manchester, Vermont, chances are that you'd arrive by private coach to be transported to Yester House, the Georgian Colonial mansion and legendary summer home of Mrs. Gertrude Divine Webster.

The days of private rail cars are gone but Yester House, now the centerpiece of the Southern Vermont Arts Center's 407 acre campus, still hosts some of the East's grandest parties, weddings, corporate events, concerts and performances.

The french doors still open on a sweeping lawn and beautiful views, now dotted by outdoor sculpture. Yester House with ten light and airy art galleries and the lovely Garden Café provides indoor and outdoor seating. The adjacent Arkell Pavilion houses a beautiful 400-seat theater with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems while the architecture and multi-tiered foyer of the Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum offers a striking gathering space.
