Only artists with active SVAC memberships are invited to submit recent work to our annual member exhibition.
You may submit:
Up to 3 small pieces (all dimensions, including frames, under 15”), OR
Up to 2 medium pieces (all dimensions, including frames, under 25”), OR
Up to 1 large piece (all dimensions, including frames, under 50″)
In addition, please review the following guidelines carefully:
- Artwork should be recent—created in the last 5 years.
- Frames are included in the overall dimensions.
- Diptychs and triptychs are counted as two and three submissions, respectively.
- Artwork with wet paint will NOT be accepted.
- All 2D work should be wired and either framed or gallery wrapped.
- Quilts
and
other
fiber
work
should
include
a
sleeve
or
other
place
for
hardware
and
be
ready to
hang.
- All artwork must be for sale unless approved otherwise by Alison Crites, Manager of Exhibitions & Interpretive Engagement.
SVAC guarantees placement of 1 piece per artist in the exhibition.
To submit, bring your pieces to SVAC during the designated drop off period and complete the paperwork by the deadlines indicated below. We can also accept artwork by mail; you are responsible for the postage to/from SVAC.
Spring 2023 All Member Exhibition
For this spring’s show, we will be taking an artist-by-artist approach to curating the art. This means, each artist’s work will be treated like a unit and hung/installed in the same location.
Visitors will naturally be curious why you selected the work that you did, so we will be collecting short artist statements from everyone to print and hang near your work. The artist statement will be part of the online inventory form that’s familiar to most of you. This is a Google form that asks you to enter basic information about each artwork you’re submitting (title, year, price, etc). The link is below.

Winter Wonderland Member Show

Now accepting applications! SVAC welcomes applications from both established and emerging artists making original work that shows accomplished artistry and design, and quality craftsmanship. Accepted media categories include baskets, ceramics, decorative fiber, wearable fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, and wood.
Artisans who are interested in applying for the Holiday Market, please submit applications by October 12, 2020.

We are now accepting applications for our 2021 Solo Exhibitions. The first installment of solo shows will be on view from mid June to late July, and the second installment will run from early August to late September.
