This camp will empower girls through art and sports. Sports will include soccer, hiking, lawn games, tag games and more. Art projects will include watercolor and acrylic painting, collage and drawing. Some art will combine with social-emotional concepts and focus on celebrating individuality. Weather-dependent, we will shoot for equal parts indoor and outdoor time for a fun week of creativity, fresh air and movement. Please note that this camp does not meet on Thursday, July 4, and is designed to feel complete by the end of Wednesday, July 3 if families are headed out of town for the holiday weekend (consider Friday, July 5 a bonus day for kids who do attend).

Instructor Bio:
Els Van Woert is an environmentalist, artist and educator. She has worked on teams to conserve biodiversity, protect wilderness, deploy renewable energy, improve organizational sustainability, inspire through environmental art and empower girls and women through sport. Currently a freelance journalist, Els studied environmental literature, history and studio art at Middlebury College and holds a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
