Lineages: Artists Are Never Alone
On view through February 23
Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum

Lineages: Artists Are Never Alone showcases the unique voices and individual talents of eleven contemporary artists and constructs a compelling collective exposition on the diverse webs of influences and personal experiences that drive artistic expression. Spanning a multiplicity of styles, media, and points of view, the exhibition and supporting programs delve deep into the artists’ creative processes to celebrate not just their exhibited work but the powerful, enduring, yet often unseen inspirational forces behind the art. Lineages is co-curated by Alison Crites, SVAC’s manager of exhibitions & interpretive engagement, and Anthony Surratt, one of the exhibiting artists.
