The legendary Glenn Miller–one of the most successful dance bandleaders of the 30s and 40s swing era–said, “A band ought to have a sound all of its own. It ought to have a personality.” The current Glenn Miller Orchestra has been bringing its unique jazz personality to the stage since 1956 and is still one of the most acclaimed big bands in the world. Since 2012, vocalist Nick Hilscher has led the 18-member ensemble. The group plays arrangements from the civilian band, the AAFB libraries, and modern selections arranged in the classic Miller style and sound.

The box office opens at 7 p.m. Please bring a print or digital copy of your tickets. The performance will be held in the 400-seat venue, Arkell Pavilion, on the Southern Vermont Arts Center’s campus.
